The USC Trojans have been recruiting a handful of players from Arizona Western Community College, and on Saturday, it became public that talented cornerback Isiah Wiley has switched his commitment from Arkansas to USC.
“Last week in the office he committed to USC,” Arizona Western head coach Thomas Minnick said.
The 6-1, 188-pound cornerback originally committed to Arkansas back in January but recently made an official visit to USC and will spend the next two seasons in the Pac-10.
Wiley is known for his physical play and will add a sure tackler to USC’s secondary.
“He’s a very fluid kid. He’s about 6-1, a big physical corner that will come up and hit you,” Minnick said. “He can move his hip really well and he gets after it pretty well.
“He’s a physical type kid. He will fit in really well because he will be up there bumping and running with the guys and they will have trouble getting off of him. He will fit right in at USC.”
Wiley is expected to enroll at USC in January and will have two years of eligibility.
