It has been a busy time for USC recruiting with the Under Armour and Army All-American games taking place this week, and Trojan fans have one more reason to be excited about the future with the commitment of 2012 wide receiver Darreus Rogers.

With the 2011 class taking shape, the Trojans got a jump on next year's class by securing the commitment of the Carson High School standout.

"I just talked it over with my parents and talking with Coach Kiffin," Rogers said. "I can see myself coming out of USC as one of the great wide receivers."

Rogers is one of the top wide receivers on the West Coast for the 2012 class and joins Jordan Payton and Jaydon Mickens, to give USC an extremely talented trio of pass catchers early in the process.

"Me and Jordan are real close friends," Rogers said.

Rogers led Carson to the City Section Title game as a junior.

"I am real physical and have great hands. I am just a playmaker when it's time to make plays," he said.
