Freshman Amir Carlisle has transferred to Notre Dame to be closer to his family living in Indiana. He was granted his release from USC Friday.

As schools around the nation gained players who committed to their programs at the U.S. Army All-American game, USC lost one in current running back Amir Carlisle, who reportedly will transfer to Notre Dame to be closer to his family.
