Cravens Shines at UCLA 7on7 Tournament

Su'a Cravens

Su'a Cravens played with his high school quarterback Nick Stevens and Frat Boyz on Sunday at UCLA's 7on7 tournament. With his mother and father clad in USC gear cheering from the sidelines Cravens put on a show.

Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta safety and USC commit Su'a Cravens put on a show at UCLA's 7 on 7 camp on Sunday.

"I just come out here to play with my team and compete," Cravens said. "We had Nick Stevens out here today, my quarterback from my school, so on offense I was really clicking and on defense when they threw it to my side, then I did pretty well."

Usually known for letting his game do his talking, Cravens took a different approach at camp.

After intercepting a pass in the end zone, he jumped to his feet not hesitating to ask the opposing quarterback why they were throwing to his side of the field.

"My brother was talking to me about that. He was saying if you don't get hyped up and start running your mouth then your team is going to stay down," Cravens explained of his out of character antics.

"If your team is down they aren't going to play well, as you could see that last game we lost. So I just have to carry that attitude that we're the best team on the field and it just starts to get contagious so everyone else starts doing it."

Cravens will now turn his focus to his upcoming senior season at Vista Murrieta.

"I'm really looking forward to it," he said. "We already started last week and our team is looking really good. We're in the weight room, and we're running when we're on the field so I'm excited about this season."
