What's the Latest With Prevot?

Alief Taylor DETorrodney Prevot, a USC commit

FOX Sports NEXT is in the streets this fall to bring you all the coverage from across the Midlands region. Recently, we caught up with Alief Taylor defensive end Torrodney Prevot from Houston, Texas. The USC commitment talked about how his game has improved and how much contact he has with his future program…

Getting pressure on the quarterback.

That is what Houston (TX) Alief Taylor defensive end Torrodney Prevot does each weekend for his team. And because so much of that has gone on for the past couple of years, he was offered double-digits offers to take his game to the next level to a number of schools.

In the end, he chose USC over several other national Top 25 options.

"I talk with the coaches frequently. They told me that they are ready for me to get down there," Prevot said. "They said they felt I could have helped them in the tough loss to Oregon."

Because of Prevot's unique skill set and his explosive style of coming off the edge, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound pass rusher wanted to make sure and perfect his craft before he makes the move to the college ranks.

Where has he seen the most improvement?

"Definitely I improved on my technique. I have been doing much better getting my hands on the tackles (off the snap)," Prevot said. "Also, I have been working to get heel line so that I can make plays on the running back and quarterback better."

As stated, what Prevot does, he does well. And of course the coaches at USC noticed it, along with several other coaches. And because of that, Prevot has still been getting some recruiting interest from programs coast to coast.

"Oregon, California, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma are still coming on. I tell them that I am committed to USC," Prevot said. "I say that if they have a problem with that, then don't call. I feel like that is where I need to be."

Prevot continued by stating that he will be visiting Southern California officially on December 7.
