Browne Visits Coliseum

Max Browne

Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline quarterback and USC commit Max Browne talked about his unofficial visit to Los Angeles a couple weeks back…

The nation's top ranked passer, Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline quarterback and USC commit Max Browne was in attendance two weeks ago to see the Trojans take on Arizona State.

"I flew down last weekend on a stand-by ticket last minute, it was fun to get down there" said Browne. "That was my last open weekend hopefully (state playoffs) to catch a game and it was cool to see the Coliseum from a fans perspective."

"I know I'll be playing there next year and it was cool to get on the field and talk to some coaches I don't always talk to," said Browne. "It was a good experience and I was glad to get down there."

In the last two weeks, Browne has led his Skyline team to comeback victories in state playoffs, including going 29 of 32 for 387 yards and four touchdowns in a semifinal win Saturday. Browne now needs just nine passing yards in the state title game to set a new WIAA State career passing record.

This will be Browne's third straight state title game appearance and he has a chance to graduate after winning back to back titles. The 6'5" 214lbs prospect broke down how he stays calm in big moments.

"I think it is a product of great senior leadership and our coaching staff. They instill in us that with the spread offense you can score fast, so don't panic," said Browne. "For me personally, being part of a bunch of big games and coming back. Last year that was sort of the motto of our team and a bunch of those guys are still on the team."
