Source: USC has no interest

Isaac Hamilton

2013 Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco shooting guard Isaac Hamilton signed a National Letter of Intent with UTEP in November. Now, the four-star recruit is asking out.

FOX Sports NEXT reported on Wednesday that 2013 Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco shooting guard Isaac Hamilton requested out of the National Letter of Intent he signed with UTEP in November.

Hamilton, a four-star recruit, reportedly is looking for a program closer to his home in Los Angeles (Calif.), citing the need to be near his ailing grandmother.

USC is the closest local option for Hamilton, just under two miles from his home.

However, a source close to the USC program said the Trojans would have no interest in Hamilton if he were granted a release from his National Letter of Intent at UTEP.

UTEP head coach Tim Floyd has denied Hamilton's request out of his NLI. Hamilton has since appealed to the NLI offices.
