Lie in bed and relax.
What has been your favorite memory so far at USC?
Winning the National Championship in Miami.
What was your favorite play from last year?
Either a play in the Oregon State game where I blew up the guard and made a tackle, or the play against UCLA where I beat the tight end and took on both a pulling guard and the fullback and still made the play.
If you could play a different position for a day, which would it be? (Asked as Ryan Kalil is hanging over his back)
Center. I want to be like Ryan Kalil.
If all the defensive linemen were on American Idol, who would be sent home first?
Alex Morrow. He’s probably got the worst voice.

If you don’t play football for a living, what would you like to do?
I’d like to be an accomplished writer.

Who or what do you credit the most for getting you to where you are today?
My parents. They instilled discipline in me and made me work hard and persevere.

To be an All-American.
Besides the Coliseum, which is your favorite stadium to play at?
The Rose Bowl.
Who are Trojan fans going to be surprised by this year?
The whole team. We’re going to come out and attack it with intensity.
Who do you pattern your game after?
It’s a mix of players. I like Jason Taylor’s intensity, and Javon Kearse’s athleticism. Michael Strahan. Julius Peppers. All those guys.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I really enjoy sleeping.
If you could have dinner with any three people, who would they be?
Martin Luther King Jr., Maya Benitez, and Jesus.
Who wins in a game of tug-of-war between the offensive and defensive lines?
Well, it would probably be optimistic thinking to say the D-line would win. I mean there’s a lot more of them. I think we would win at other sports, because, you know, anyone can just lean back and pull you with their weight. It would be like elephants versus tigers. But, I guess I’d have to say we would win.
