Morgan talks recruiting

Mike Morgan

Dallas Skyline linbacker Michael Morgan has a very busy schedule in the following weeks. As January rapidly approaches, the recruiting season begins to pick up at an incredible pace. Recently, Morgan played host to Pete Carroll and staff on an in home visit.

"The visit went pretty well. Coach Carroll, Coach Franklin, and Coach Lane Kiffin came in. We talked about what position I would play, and how I would be able play at that program. They talked to me about playing a Sam or will backer that does a lot of blitzing. And they also said that they could use me as speed rusher in certain situations. They feel I'd be able to come in and play early. Everybody really seemed to enjoy it."

Although the visit went well, Morgan said that he is no closer to a decision.

"The visit basically just gave me a better understanding of the program."

Morgan has taken one official visit to Southern Cal back in October, and is in the process of setting up visits to Oklahoma and A & M.

"I will be going to Oklahoma this weekend. While I'm there, I kind of just want to get around the players and see how it is. They basically talked to me about playing Sam linebacker. And that's where I prefer playing. With A & M, I'm just waiting on them to hire a new defensive coordinator so I can come in and visit."

Morgan has done a lot of thinking in the previous weeks to narrow his list of suitors to three.

"I would say USC, Texas A & M, and Oklahoma are my top three."

When asked if he had set a timeline on his decision, the four-star prospect said that he plans on announcing on Signing Day.

"My decision comes down to me finding a place where I feel most comfortable at."
