Chris Bonds Excited About USC Offer

Bonds Will Visit USC in March

SCPlaybook caught up with the Scout.com 4-star defensive end from Richland Northeast High School (Columbia, S.C.). Said Bonds, "I am very excited about this offer, I'm ecstatic! Anty time a school of this caliber offers you, you have to be excited."

Bonds has received offers from numerous schools. He said, "I've received offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Miami, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Louisville and a few others."

When asked if he will be visiting any schools, he said, "I want to focus on my senior season, I've been with my high school for four years and I want to spend most of my time here, lifting weights and working out with teammates."

Bonds did say he will be visiting USC in March. "I have my spring break on March 3rd. I am going to spend a week-and-a-half in Los Angeles and will visit the campus then and meet with the coaches."

He continued, "I won't be going to too many camps, I want to spend my time with my teammates this summer." He said he will take five official visits, "Right now I am setting that up, but so far, I'll be visitng Southern Cal, Michigan and Notre Dame. But that changes."

When talking about the decision-making process, Bonds said he expects to commit in December, after his senior season.

Talking about USC, Bonds was very animated. Saying, "I talked to coach Carroll and Coach Watson who is recruiting me. They were ecstatic about my game tapes. I talked to coaches for a while. I will visit them in March. When you get an offer from a school of USC's caliber, you have to be excited!"
