Five-star USC commit Kevin Graf officially visited USC last week with a handful of other top recruits and came away excited by the experience. The talented offensive lineman got to know his future teammates, and even did some recruiting of his own.

“It was a great time. I got to hang out with a bunch of the guys and we really had a good time out there,” said Graf, who was hosted by Alex Parsons and Michael Reardon. “I got to see some different parts of the school that I really hadn’t gotten to see. It was a really good time.”

On the visit, Graf spent time with his future teammates, Matt Barkley, T.J. McDonald and Morrell Presley.

“Through USC, I have gotten to know all of them pretty well. I have hung out with Matt (Barkley) a lot and same with T.J. McDonald,” Graf said. “I got to know Devon (Kennard) a little more. They are all great guys. It was great to get back and hang out with them again.

The 6-6, 307-pound offensive lineman even did some recruiting of his own, giving his best sales pitch to Devon Kennard, Corey Adams and Bryson Littlejohn.

“I definitely worked on all three of them,” he said. “My mom actually got to come with me on my visit. She definitely worked on their parents as well. We talked to them a lot about it.”

Graf, who is Scout.com’s top offensive lineman on the west coast, hit the film room with offensive line coach Pat Ruel and discussed how he would be used in USC’s offensive scheme.

“They sat us down and showed us some film,” Graf said. “They kind of showed us how their schemes work. They said that they would like to throw me in there as early as I can, and get me on the field as soon as possible.

“They talked to me a little bit about playing guard. I really would like to play tackle, but wherever they need me I’ll play.”

The five-star offensive lineman raved about his official visit and said getting to interact with the coaches was the highlight.

“Everything was really special about the trip. Most of all, getting to hang out with the coaches so much,” Graf said. “I got to learn more about them and see what they are like on an everyday basis.

“They are always excited. They are excited about what they do and are very energetic. They make it fun for you.”

Kevin Graf is the youngest in a long line of USC football players. His father Allen, and brother, Derek, both played football for the Trojans and the youngest Graf is honored to continue the legacy.

“I have heard a million stories about their playing days,” Graf joked. “My brother has told me a bunch of stories about when he was there, and how it will be the greatest time of my life.”

“It’s awesome because I am the last one to go through here. I am excited to go to USC and it is definitely an honor that they think that highly of me.”
