Williams has solid performance against Serra

Some college coaches might think Taft LB/DE Brent Williams is a bit undersized, but it's doubtful he looked undersized to Serra quarterback Conner Preston on Friday night. Williams had two sacks and was in pursuit of Preston all night. His size wasn't an issue for Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian and he offered Williams a scholarship offer back in August.

Williams had an impressive performance at USC Offensive/Defensive Linemen Camp in June and was told by the USC staff, they would follow William's progress during the season and see if he could continue to add weight.

We were told Ken Norton Jr. is still interested in Williams, but Williams told us Friday night he's a solid Husky commit. And he's looking forward to taking his official visit in the near future. But don't be surprised if some more big offers come in for Williams before the season ends.

Scout.com spoke to Williams Friday night and discussed the disappointing OT loss to Serra, how he feels he's played this season, Taft's outlook for the rest of the season, his commitment to Washington and more...
