Flowers has tentative plans to visit USC 12/4

Marquis Flowers from Millennium High in Goodyear, Ariz., wasn't prepared to focus too heavily on recruiting until his season was over, but now that it is after a tough loss to Chaparral last weekend, he is in the process of setting up his official visits. He will take an official visit to ASU this weekend and has tentative plans to officially visit two more schools the following weekends.

"I am taking an official visit to ASU this weekend and I might be in California the following two weekends," said Flowers. "Right now I have tentative plans to visit USC on Dec. 4 and UCLA on Dec. 11."

Millennium lost to Chaparral in a 54-32 shootout last weekend, but said his team went farther in the playoffs than anyone thought they would.

"Nobody thought we'd make it out of the first round of the playoffs," Flowers said. "You always want to keep on winning in the playoffs, but we did about as well as could be expected this season."

Flowers is one of the most versatile and talented athletes in the 2011 recruiting class. On the season he carried the ball 135 times for 1,247 yards and 16 touchdowns, and had 62 tackles and two interceptions from his safety position.

Scout.com will talk to Marquis Flowers after his official visit to Arizona State. Flowers said he plans on having the rest of his official visits set up by the end of this week. ASU, Arizona, USC, UCLA and Notre Dame are the five schools Flowers is still considering. He took his official visit to Notre Dame Nov. 7.
