After verbally committing to USC back in February, five-star offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson has made it official by signing his letter of intent on Tuesday afternoon.
“Signed and faxed. It’s official. Seantrel is now a Trojan,” Seantrel’s father, Sean Henderson said.
USC head coach Lane Kiffin added: “We’re excited to have received Seantrel’s signed letter of intent. This is the final piece of putting together the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class. We’re looking forward to having all of our recruits come in and compete for playing time with our returning players.”
Henderson, who was rated as Scout.com’s top overall prospect in the 2010 recruiting class, originally committed to the Trojans on National Signing Day (Feb.3rd) but said he would wait to sign his letter of intent until after learning more about the NCAA’s investigation of USC.
The 6-8, 325-pound lineman picked USC over Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida and Minnesota.
"We have now been fortunate for the last two years to have our staff sign the nation's number one player," Kiffin said. "This signing is once again indicative of the power of USC and what it means to play here. We are very proud to have Seantrel as a member of the Trojan family."
Henderson recently received his ACT scores and is academically eligible.
Five-star OL Seantrel Henderson is headed West.
