| Biography: |
| In 2003, Dallas Sartz was called upon to fill some pretty big shoes and he responded better than anyone could have imagined. When Matt Grootegoed went down with an ankle injury, Sartz was asked to step into the starting strongside linebacker and not let the defense miss a beat. He did exactly that. The defense stayed strong with Sartz right in the middle of countless plays. He totaled 60 tackles for the year and added a blocked punt for an exclamation point on the season. Sartz’s play in 2003 will make it tough for the Trojan coaches to keep him on the sideline during 2004. He has shown the ability to start at any of the linebacker positions and is also an excellent safety. It’s a safe bet that Sartz will see the field in 2004, and that 2003 was no fluke. |
