| 2006: Earned first team All-Pac-10 honors...co-team captain...preseason Doak Walker Award candidate ...OSU was 6-0 when he rushed for 100-plus yards...second in the Pac-10 and tied for 15th in the nation at 100.5 yards per game – 18 backs in Division I averaged 100-plus...fourth in the Pac-10 for all-purpose yards at 121.8...his 1,307 yards for the season was sixth-best at OSU...scored the game-winning two-point conversion against Missouri in the Sun Bowl with 23 seconds remaining...season-high eight receptions in the Sun Bowl win, including his second career reception for a touchdown – a 7-yard pass from Matt Moore with 6:02 left in the game to draw OSU to within seven points...missed the USC game with an ankle injury...rushed for a season-high 168 yards (36 att.) at Stanford.
2005: Bernard’s 1,321 yards rushing ranked fifth all-time for a single season at OSU, trailing only past Beaver greats Steven Jackson (St. Louis Rams) and Ken Simonton...honorable mention All-Pac-10 Conference...became the prominent threat on the ground after the third game and from that point on accounted for 1,107 of his total rushing yards (84%)...his 13 rushing touchdowns marked the sixth-highest ever at OSU and his 14 overall total touchdowns tied for the sixth-highest for a single season. His 120.1 yards per game ranked ninth in the NCAA and fourth in the Pac-10...fifth in the Pac-10 and 16th in the nation for all-purpose yards per game at 148.8...his 1,637 total all-purpose yards was the fourth-highest mark in school history...fourth on the team for receptions with 37 (316 yds)...failed to reach 100 yards rushing in just two conference games – vs. Washington State (89) and vs. Stanford (81)...carried the ball 299 times, the third-highest figure ever at OSU.
2004: Bernard began the year as OSU’s primary kick and punt returner...12 of his 13 punt returns were in the first four games...had a season-high 14-yard return at Boise State...for the season he returned 13 punts for 79 yards...also returned five kickoffs for 91 yards, including a career-high long of 31 vs. New Mexico...made his only two receptions of the season in the Insight Bowl victory over Notre Dame...entered the year competing for the number two position at tailback.
2003: Redshirted.
High School: Yvenson was a four-year starter for head coach Brian Dodds...started at tailback, fullback and strong safety during his prep career...rushed for 3,000-plus yards during his career, including more than 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior... Also accounted for 13 receptions for 190 yards and a touchdown as a senior. also a standout in baseball and was a 30th round draft pick of the Minnesota Twins...came to Corvallis (2,696 miles from Boca Raton) as a result of playing in HS with former OSU strong safety Sabby Piscitelli – the connection was formed by current OSU Assistant A.D. Bob Clifford, who is a native of Florida and was cooking hot dogs for the Boca Raton HS booster club during games.
