| Thomas explodes off the line and is extremely physical. More than one linebacker bumped the back of his head on the grass after trying to check Thomas. He has solid hands in and out of traffic, and he elevates like a wide receiver rather than a tight end pushing 250 pounds. Thomas isn't a towering target at 6-2/6-3, but he's much stronger than longer, leaner tight ends and able to get separation with his burst and power - Scott Kennedy. |

| Christian Thomas finished his junior season with 32 catches for 690 yards and eight touchdowns. He says he can bench 330-pounds, squat 460 and claims a 39-inch vertical leap.
Partial senior (6-5) stats: 670 yards receiving and nine touchdowns; 20 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.
Thomas reports a 3.6 core GPA and took his SAT during the summer but says he doesn’t remember his score. He was supposed to retake the SAT on Dec. 5, but says he signed up too late. “I’m taking it in January for sure.”
Thomas: “I’m a good receiver. I know how to make defenders miss. I’m not really a finesse guy or a physical guy. I’m more like an Antonio Gates.
“I’m also a pretty good blocker and still improving. I need to engage my defenders better when blocking.”
